What is Wireless Wiegand
Wireless Wiegand replaces the cable between door-side access devices and the main control panel. It transmits low-voltage signals such as card reads, lock commands, and door status wirelessly and securely.
The system supports Wiegand, OSDP, RS-485, and relays. Communication is encrypted, interference-resistant, and built on a purposely developed protocol that delivers greater security and flexibility than traditional cabling.
When wiring is slow, costly, or impractical, Wireless Wiegand makes deployment possible in historic sites, elevators, parking lots, construction zones, and anywhere cabling isn’t an option.
Range
Wireless Wiegand extends access control over long range with no cabling — miles with standard antennas, 60-plus miles line-of-sight with directional dish antennas, and further by daisy-chaining units. It penetrates walls, floors, and concrete in complex buildings, keeping a fast, secure connection. Relocate readers or gates with no rewiring.
Invulnerability
Wireless Wiegand encrypts every transmission with AES-128, protecting access control signals against brute-force, replay, spoofing, and interception attacks. The radio link is designed to resist tampering and eavesdropping, with no exposed wiring to tap. Ideal for high-security access control, gates, and automation systems.
Durability
Reliable wireless takes more than range. Wireless Wiegand’s relays are tested beyond 5 million actuations for years of continuous duty, and it performs consistently in RF-heavy, high-interference environments — commercial buildings, industrial sites, and concrete structures.
Accuracy & Enterprise-Grade Monitoring
The system continuously supervises its connection with real-time heartbeats. It includes detailed logs, live connectivity charts, watchdog timers, and diagnostic alerts that provide full visibility and control, ensuring reliable operation even in enterprise settings.
Stability & Signal Protection
Wireless Wiegand continuously scans frequency-hopping channels and locks onto the clearest one, avoiding interference, collisions, spoofing, and jamming. The link adapts in real time to crowded or hostile RF environments, holding a secure, stable connection where fixed-frequency radios fail.
Flexibility & Resiliency
The system adapts automatically to signal conditions and environmental changes. It includes auto-channel switching during interference, watchdog timers, self-healing protocols, and automatic restarts on connectivity loss. These safeguards ensure continued performance with no manual intervention.
